Proposals for Conference, Travel, Exhibition, and Popular Lectures (CTEP) from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) The term “sanctioned” describes the quantity of requests that DBT has accepted to fund biotechnology-related scientific conferences, workshops, exhibitions, lectures, and activities. Disseminating research findings, encouraging cooperation between scientists, educators, and industry professionals, and promoting scientific exchange are the objectives of this effort. In order to keep India’s biotechnology community worldwide linked and up to date on new discoveries and advancements, DBT offers financial and logistical assistance for planning and attending national and international scientific conferences through CTEP. The CTEP program is extremely important since it improves India’s research networking and scientific communication ecosystem. It helps Indian scientists present their work, interact globally, and be exposed to cutting-edge technologies by supporting participation in international conferences and exhibitions. In a similar vein, well-attended talks and exhibits are essential for public involvement and science outreach because they motivate aspiring scientists and raise knowledge of the uses of biotechnology. Through knowledge exchange and international collaboration, the approved proposals under CTEP also promote India’s goal of becoming a global biotechnology hub by fostering capacity building, policy discussion, and innovation diffusion.
