Abstract
Emerging tools are revolutionizing healthcare research in the era of Big Data, with Internet search data proving to be a valuable resource. The Institute of Medicine recognizes the potential of utilizing Internet data in healthcare research, stating that it could complement and expand existing data foundations. Among these tools, Google Trends stands out as a publicly accessible platform provided by Google Inc., offering insights into geospatial and temporal patterns in search volumes for user-defined terms. We have aggregated data from Google Trends focusing on the keywords “Menstruation” (Topic) and “Periods” (Search Term). The primary aim of this study is to assess Public Interest Towards Menstrual Health and well-being in India Public interest towards “Menstruation” has witnessed a significant twofold to threefold increase over the past two decades From understanding biological processes to exploring alternative menstrual products and managing reproductive health conditions, individuals are actively seeking knowledge to better understand and address their menstrual health needs. The observations from this study underscore the urgent need for ongoing education, awareness campaigns, and improved access to resources to support individuals in managing their menstrual health effectively.
